About Me
As an actor, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the ups and downs of the performing arts industry. Despite the challenges, I can confidently say that my journey has been fulfilling and worth every moment.
Jeremiah Packer is an actor, singer, and dancer who was born on the beautiful shores of Honolulu, Hawaii but was only able to enjoy the clear skies and blue waters for two years until his parents were stationed to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he grew up and started performing. After his Kindergarten teacher shared with his parents that Jeremiah would almost instinctively act out all the characters mentioned during story time, she urged them to involve him in the arts, and so they did. He started ballet, tap, and jazz lessons at a local dance studio and soon after was taken to see the show that would ignite his passion for performing, the Alvin Ailey touring production of Revelations. From then on, he started ministering with his movement through liturgical dance at his local church and performed at community theatres in town, in local talent shows, and even started modeling as a child.
Jeremiah continued nurturing his love for preforming all throughout his time in school and after graduating high school, he continued to gain valuable professional experience at the Cape Fear Regional Theare while attaining his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at Fayetteville State University. His most notable role at CFRT was portraying the loveable guppy Flounder in Disney’s The Little Mermaid which earned him a Best Featured Actor, Broadway World Award Nomination. As his time at FSU came to a close, he set his sights on furthering his education by attain his Master of Fine Arts degree. After much deliberation he chose the University of Alabama as the place he would spend the next three years of his life being artistically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually stretched in ways he never knew possible. While in grad school he was able to truly hone his skills, perfect his craft, and flourish & develop into not only a better actor and artist, but also a better human being. The last three years have taught him much about consistency, tenacity, and endurance (especially during Covid), and self-confidence. The main goal he wishes to attain during his career is to not only be successful but to also be influential with his art; using the gifts and talents God has blessed him with to inspire generations to come as he pays respect to those that came before.
